"Ask not what your member organizations can do for you (e.g., advance your legislative agenda), but what you can do for them (e.g., improve their real world effectiveness)." Adapting the words of America's thirty-fifth president, PD Executive Director Aron Goldman presented the PD model at the Independent Sector Annual Conference in Minneapolis. Drawing directly on the PD model, Goldman explained what national policy organizations can do to integrate public policy into the normal business of community-based organizations, thus contributing to mutually beneficial and durable relationships.
